Von dieser wundervoll gestalteten Langspielplatte tönt die wohl schrägste weiche Musik, die ich bisher zu hören bekam. Echte, gelebte Männer spielen verschrobene, schief-folkige Wildpsychedelic von eindeutig neben dem Highway.
Das sicherlich mexikanische Blut dieser im Punk- und Hardcoreschlamm aufgewachsenen Out-of-Mode-Downstars hatte die letzte Jahre mit Sicherheit ein doomiges Bad in einem verschlossenen Verlies mit den Kollegen Eugene Chadbourne / Pavement / Sonic Youth / Calexico/ Liquid Laughter Lounge Quartett genommen. Zerbrechlich und dunkel, aber genauso humorvoll und verspielt einnehmend verstören die Berliner mit allerlei Klangexperimenten, so dass man die Platte immer wieder hören kann und muss, um immer wieder etwas neues von ihr ab bekommen zu können.
